Arkansas is a very historical state. Arkansas is home to a president, it is also home to a train station. Little Rock is home to the capitol of Arkansas. The Museum of Discovery is the oldest childrens' museum in the state. Arkansas has a museum that shows what is was like in pioneer times and what it was like when Arkansas first became a state.

In September of 1957,nine black students entered the previously all-white school under federal troup escourt.The school became a battle ground for civil rights.It was all over the news.It was very violent too.

The Old State House opened in 1836 and is the oldest standing state capitol building west of the Mississippi. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1969 and declared a Historic Landmark in 1997.
