Fishing is one of the most favorite sports in Arkansas. You can fish year-round, and some fish caught in Arkansas have broken world records. This wonderful state has 9,700 miles of fishable streams and rivers, 600,000 acres of lakes, numerous bayous, creeks, and sloughs. In all 75 Arkansas counties, bass fishing is enjoyed on streams and lakes. The Natural State boasts 9 species of bass, including stripers that top the sixty-pound range. That is some helpful information to plan a fishing trip in Arkansas.
There are 90 fishing tournaments in Arkansas. One tournament is the Annual Arkansas Big Bass Bonanza in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is the country's largest amateur big bass tournament. There is also the Annual Tri-Lakes Big Bass Festival in DeQueen. Those are just some of the many fishing tournaments in Arkansas.
